ZenList Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 25, 2026

ZenList ("the app") is a personal productivity app for tracking habits and goals. This policy explains what data is handled when you use the app.

Data we collect

  1. Content you create in the app — goals, checklist items, schedules, and progress entries — is stored locally on your device only.
  2. Crash diagnostics may be collected through Firebase Crashlytics to help identify and fix app stability issues.

How data is used

  1. Local app content is used only to provide core app features.
  2. Crash diagnostics are used only to monitor and improve app reliability.

On-device AI (ZenCoach)

On supported devices (Pixel 8 and newer with Android 16), ZenList includes ZenCoach — an AI assistant powered by Google's on-device Gemini Nano model via the AICore system service. Your habit data and any questions you ask ZenCoach are processed entirely on your device and are never sent to any server.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data is not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app uses local notifications scheduled on your device. Notification permission is requested by Android and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

Data retention

Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Crash diagnostic data retention is managed by Firebase services.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
